ADAM FARABEE

BIO

Adam Farabee is an award-winning, actor, director, and educator.  He has a B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he was the recipient of the Andy Griffith Award for Outstanding Performer.   Adam continued his actor training at The Juilliard School’s Drama Division in New York City, where he received the Michel St. Denis Award for outstanding member of the graduating ensemble.  Adam received his MFA in Theater with an emphasis on Pedagogy and Directing from The University of Idaho.

Acting, directing, and teaching have taken him across the country and world, as well as allowing him to work with exceptional artists such as Trey Parker and Matt Stone, Frances McDormand, Woody Harrelson, Sam Gold, Oliver Platt, Jeffrey Wright, Al Pacino, Viola Davis, Laura Linney, Austin Pendleton, and Errol Morris.

His many stage roles include performances in The Lieutenant of Inishmore (Berkely Rep, San Francisco Bay Area Theater Award, Best Supporting Actor), Victoria Martin: Math Team Queen (Off-Broadway), Parfumerie (The Wallis Annenberg Theater),  The Cripple of Inishmaan, Romeo and Juliet, Balm in Gilead (Juilliard), The History Boys (St. Louis Rep), and Our Town (PlayMakers Rep).  Adam has also appeared in television, movies, and commercials, including roles on Shameless, Chicago Med, Rutherford Falls, Adam Ruins Everything, Westworld, and Wilson. 

Adam is a member of the Actors Equity Association, Screen Actors Guild, Lincoln Center Directors Lab, Teaching Artist Guild, and the National Alliance of Acting Teachers.  As an educator, Adam has certifications in Mental Health First Aid, Bystander Intervention, Universal Design for Learning, and Culturally Responsive Pedagogy.
