Adam most recently appeared in the recurring role of Charlie Cromwell on NBC Peacock's Rutherford Falls, starring Ed Helms, Dana L. Wilson, Jana Schmieding, Jesse Leigh, Michael Greyeyes, Dustin Milligan, and created by Sierra Teller Cornelas, and Michael Schur.
Adam was in the premier episode of Chicago Med on NBC, appearing opposite Oliver Platt and S. Epatha Merkerson in the role of Jamie. Adam also appeared in the season 2 premier of Westworld on HBO. He acted opposite Woody Harrelson in the feature film Wilson, directed by Craig Johnson and written by Daniel Clowes , based on Clowes' graphic novel Wilson. The film stars Woody Harrelson, Laura Dern, Judy Greer, and Cheryl Hines. He was a recurring character in Adam Ruins Everything for TruTV, created by Adam Conover.
He appeared in a Super Bowl LVI commercial for Cutwater Spirits and can currently be seen in the national ad campaign.
Previously, Adam appeared in AT&T and McDonald's national commercial campaign. Adam recently shot a national commercial for Best Buy, directed by Academy Award winner Errol Morris.
Adam made his Los Angeles theatre debut in Parfumerie, directed by Mark Brokaw at the Wallis Annenberg Center for Performing Arts. He is a member of The Road Theater Company and was Jonathan in Mud Blue Sky, directed by Mary Lou Beli. He shot the lead role in the films Parallel and Brown Bag.
Adam is a graduate of The Juilliard School, where he appeared in many productions, including The Cripple of Inishmaan, Bike America, Romeo and Juliet, and Pericles. Adam won the Michel St. Denis Award at Juilliard, given to an exceptional member of the ensemble of the graduating class. Adam acted professionally in New York City and around the country before beginning his training in the Drama Division at The Juilliard School. Originally from North Carolina, Adam moved to New York City where he began acting in theater, commercials, and television. In New York City, he studied acting with Michael Howard and Austin Pendleton. Adam is a proud member of Actors' Equity Association and SAG-AFTRA.
Before attending Juilliard, Adam won a San Francisco Bay Area Theatre Critics Circle Award for his performance in Martin McDonagh's The Lieutenant of Inishmore, directed by Les Waters, at Berkeley Repertory Theatre. His Off-Broadway credits include the world premiere of Kathryn Walat's Victoria Martin: Math Team Queen, directed by Loretta Greco, at the Women’s Project Theatre, Suzan-Lori Parks' 365 Days/365 Plays. He has appeared in numerous readings and workshops of new plays for the New York Theatre Workshop, Primary Stages, Clubbed Thumb, and MCC. Adam’s regional credits include the regional theatre premiere of The History Boys at the St. Louis Repertory Theatre and Our Town at Playmakers Repertory. At Juilliard, he acted in Romeo and Juliet, The Taming of the Shrew, Mean Time, The Enchanted, A Musical Evening of Cabaret, Balm in Gilead, Ivanov, The Lorca Project, Measure for Measure, Pecong, The Less Than Human Club, and Henry V. Adam appeared on the MTV sketch comedy show, Human Giant, with Rob Huebel and Aziz Ansari, and in numerous commercials and print advertisements.
