Adam Farabee is a theater director and award-winning actor-educator whose work spans classical and contemporary theater, as well as on-camera technique. Grounded in text analysis, imagination, and collaboration, his directing centers the actor as a creative collaborator and treats rehearsal as a site of curiosity and a lab for exploration. Whether working with heightened language, new plays, modern theater, or film, Adam emphasizes clarity of intention, active listening, and the social and emotional stakes of storytelling. His rehearsal rooms prioritize process over product, cultivating environments where performers feel supported to take risks to fully participate in a living artistic collaboration, and develop bold, nuanced work. In addition to directing, Adam is deeply committed to mentorship, particularly for first-generation college students, first-generation artists, and neurodivergent artists, and to fostering sustainable, inclusive creative practices.
